Merry Wives of Windsor
Stratford, Wednesday, September 18, 2019
Are you ready for drama, scandal, and comedy? Two married women find out the same man is trying to seduce them. He fails to anticipate that his targets will, quite literally, compare notes. These witty women will use their smarts and mischievous ways to teach him a lesson. This show is set in a little town in the 1950's just like Stratford where you will see the play at the Festival Theatre. It's a work of Shakespeare from 1602 that has been revamped into more of a relatable time frame. The title relates to the town of Windsor, and the location of the Windsor Castle in Berkshire, England. If you keep up with the Royal Family the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were Married in Windsor Castle in Summer of 2018. Whether you want to see what wreaks havoc on this double-dealing man, you love the works of Shakespeare, or theatre is your passion this show will have you at the edge of your seat anxious to see what happens next! There is an included buffet lunch with this tour at the Crossroads restaurant before the show.
