What started out as a hobby farm with over twenty-five picturesque acres in 2000 is now home to today's first adventure, Salem Alpacas. Ontario has the third largest population of Alpaca's in Canada and owner Kathleen Holmes will welcome and educate us about her Alpaca family. With Alpaca fleece 8 times warmer than sheep wool, non-allergenic and in twenty-two different colours you're sure to find a take home treasure in her retail store. This afternoon we are off to the Hub of the Kawartha's, Bobcaygeon. Bigley's Shoes, next to the first lock built on the Trent Severn Waterway, has one of the largest selection of shoes in Ontario. They say it's Big City Fashion in cottage country. Lunch is on your own today as your browse this beautiful village.
