You won't want to miss Prairie Nurse at the Port Hope Cameco Capitol Arts Theatre, a laugh-a-minute comedy based on a real-life story. Sit back and enjoy the escapades taking place in a small-town Saskatchewan hospital during the late 1960s. Cultural clashes, personality differences, homesickness, and the amorous but dim-witted goalie from the local hockey team complicates two Filipino nurses' lives and creates chaos at the hospital. Add a doctor who is more concerned with fishing than his patients, and an overly romantic candy striper, and you've got the makings of a story that will have you rolling in the aisles. We'll first have time for a bit of shopping in downtown Port Hope and then lunch is included at the Railside Restaurant prior to the afternoon show.
