South Simcoe Railway
Thursday, July 15, 2021
All aboard as we take a nostalgic look at the past and the good old days. We will travel on the South Simcoe Railway, the oldest operating steam heritage train in Ontario. On the restored 1920's cars our journey will take us through the countryside from Tottenham to Beeton and back. An included lunch will be at Mrs. Mitchell's restaurant. Built in 1889 this Mulmur Township schoolhouse opened in 1980 and was named as a tribute to the schools last and longest serving teacher. Meet the leading ladies at Sheldon Creek Dairy, meaning a herd of purebred Holstein's that supply milk, cream, yogurt, butter ice cream and many other goodies to the people of Loretto and surrounding area. If you remember when milk came in a glass bottle, look no further, it still does at Sheldon Creek.
