Wednesday, September 15, 2021
Our first stop today is the Bell Homestead, declared a Canadian National Historic Site by Queen Elizabeth in 1997.On July 26, 1874 Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone and in 1876 made the world's first successful long distance telephone call from Brantford. An included lunch today will be at the Olde School Restaurant. A converted schoolhouse dating back to the 1870's hosted her majesty Queen Elizabeth on June 28, 1997. We will also visit the Royal Chapel of the Mohawks, the oldest surviving church in Ontario. Don't miss this chance to revisit Canadian history and visit Brantford's best bells!
